How it works

A clear path from enquiry to decision.

The typical certification lifecycle is built around defined scope, appropriate evidence and independent review. An enquiry is not a guarantee of certification.

Evidence-led decisions

Assessment activities are planned around the agreed scope and applicable requirements. Findings are communicated clearly, and corrective action may be required where conformity has not been demonstrated.

Certification decisions must be supported by appropriate assessment evidence and independent review. Where approval is not granted, the organization can discuss the applicable next steps.
